That was a run against time, through mud, tidal creeks, and history! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️⏳🌊

On Sunday, nearly 500 participants defied the tides at the world’s first Red Bull Watt Run. 🌊🌾 Florian Neuschwander among the men (1:40:45) and Florentine Beese among the women (2:03:07) won the endurance adventure in the Wadden Sea off Cuxhaven. 🥇

In ideal conditions and in front of the unique backdrop of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea, the 24.6-kilometer-long course led from Cuxhaven-Duhnen to the island of Neuwerk and back – right through the mudflats, with the tide at their backs and the horizon in sight.
